Square Gateway Module For WHMCS Module Configuration Guide

By this point, we assume you have already activated and configured the gateway module's license.

 

How to Get Your Square API Credentials

  1. Log in to the Square Developer Dashboard
    Navigate to the Applications section here: https://developer.squareup.com/console/en/apps


  2. Create a New Application (if needed)
    Click the “+” icon to create a new application if you don’t already have one

  3. Open Your Application
    Click the “Open” button next to the application you want to use.

  4. Select Environment: Sandbox or Production

    • Use Sandbox for testing credentials.

    • Use Production for live transactions.



  5. Copy Your Credentials
    Under your selected environment, copy the following:

    • Application ID

    • Access Token


Configure API Credentials

  1. Enter your Application ID and Access Token.

  2. Enable Sandbox Mode (if you're using sandbox API credentials) by checking the corresponding box.

  3. Click "Save Changes."

  4. Select your Location ID, then click "Save Changes" again.

  5. Optionally, you can update the display name to show a custom label for your integration.
